In order to visualize flows around aerodynes in our low pressure MHD test bench, but also to observe shockwaves that will be generated around mockups in our future shock tube, a Schlieren bench is under construction.

Despite the fact that the mirror does not allow the expected sharpness, first tests have been performed. The installation is validated.

Similar tests will be carried out once we have acquired the two 114/500 telescope mirrors in good condition, without scratches. A brighter light source will be used soon in order to be able to capture movies at 1000 frames/second.
